Dirty Aesthetic was formed in the greater Vancouver area in the summer of 2024. The band consists of five members: Bardia Tarjoman, Dylan Iwaschuk, Jacob Nadal, Joshua Chapman, and Joshua Seaman. In just over a year, Dirty Aesthetic has navigated their way into the Vancouver music scene seamlessly, playing multiple shows at many of Vancouver's most well known underground venues, such as Green Auto, The Roxy, and the Biltmore Cabaret. Due to their energy on stage and fun loving attitude, you can be sure to catch them playing at these venues again and again.

Very quickly, they have created a unique sound, delivering garage surf infused indie rock layered with folk and alternative textures. They move effortlessly from high energy tracks like "Corduroy" and "White Flag" to smooth and soulful songs that pull at the heartstrings, like "Blue Roses" and "Heart Home." Lyrically, they explore themes of heartbreak, love, mental health, and addiction.

Their debut EP, "Sugar on The Rocks," tells a story of lost love, specifically first love and the journey toward that eventual loss. It explores every aspect of the relationship, from the initial infatuation and bliss to the eventual downfall. Their upcoming debut album will continue this story, touching on the grief that follows and the choices that can come along with it.

When it comes to influences, Dirty Aesthetic has a wide range. From classic rock and roll bands like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and Faces, to new school indie rock with bands like The Backseat Lovers, Peach Pit, and Ocean Alley. Their song "Out of Key" was directly inspired by the Faces track "Glad and Sorry," while "Corduroy" and "White Flag" found their creative starting points through songs by Led Zeppelin. But it doesn't stop there. The album they are set to release this summer draws inspiration from across the entire history of rock and roll.

Dirty Aesthetic is driven to pave their own way and become one of the best bands the world has ever seen, bringing rock and roll back to the forefront of the music industry with an energetic, innovative, and passionate new sound.
